iWave unveils the first look of the Virtex UltraScale+ System on Module at Embedded World2023


Nuremberg, Germany 15th Mar 2023 – iWave launches iW-RainboW-G52M: Virtex UltraScale+ FPGA System on Module (SoM) at the Embedded World 2023 trade fair. The SoM is B2104 footprint compatible, supporting the Virtex UltraScale+ Series from VU5P to VU13P FPGAs, UltraScale Series from VU080 to VU190 FPGAs, KU19P Kintex UltraScale+, and KU095 & KU115 Kintex UltraScale Series. This compatibility enables easy migration of designs from one device or family to another.

Built around the powerful Virtex FPGA from Xilinx, the Virtex SoM delivers the highest performance, bandwidth, and reduced latency required for compute-intensive applications, such as data centers, Test and Measurement, 400G and Terabit Wired Communications, and Aerospace and Defense markets.

Virtex UltraScale+ System on Module sets a new standard in FPGA SoMs, featuring up to 3.78M logic cells, enhanced DSP slices to support diverse applications (up to 38 TOPs of DSP compute bandwidth), massive memory interface bandwidth (DDR4), 76 high-speed transceivers, and 120LVDS/240SE User IOs. It enables the development of complex algorithms such as AI/ML, sensor fusion, and video processing.

Complementing the Virtex UltraScale+ FPGAs, the SoM supports a dual ARM Cortex-A7 processor @ 1.2GHz speed, quad high-speed serial interface (SerDes), includes high-speed connectivity peripherals such as PCIe, USB3.0, SATA3.1, and Gigabit Ethernet to facilitate easy communication & processing control.
