Through a collaboration with Achronix, iWave is excited to introduce the iW-RainboW-G64M System on Module (SoM). The SoM is powered by the revolutionary Achronix Speedster7t AC7t1500 FPGA, boasting unmatched high-performance capabilities tailored for AI/ML and high-bandwidth data acceleration applications.
This new SoM module provides designers with a simplified and highly integrated small form factor (120mm x 90mm) FPGA solution that integrates 16GB of GDDR6 and 8GB of DDR4 memory, high-speed connectors into 32 SerDes running up to 106Gbps, and i.MX 8x lite OSM. It can be easily connected to a carrier board for application-specific deployment.
Key Features of iW-RainboW-G64M
For designers looking to accelerate their Speedster7t FPGA designs, the iW-RainboW-G64M SoM provides a proven and tested platform that eliminates PCB design complexity by incorporating 16GB of GDDR6 and 8 GB of DDR4 memory, 32 channels of SerDes connectivity, and the FPGA power supply. With these components already integrated into the SoM module, customers can focus on designing their application-specific carrier board. This allows for rapid customization across a wide range of AI/ML, data centers, networking, and other data acceleration applications.
The iW-RainboW-G64M SoM includes iWave’s i.MX 8X Lite OSM to facilitate communication between the FPGA and other components on the SoM. The i.MX 8XLite incorporates a dual-core ARM Cortex-A35 and Cortex-M4F processor, which adds additional software flexibility for processing workloads.
