iWave Systems joins STMicroelectronics Partner Program to increase flexibility and ease product development with its OSM Module

Nuremberg, Germany 14th March 2023 – iWave Systems, an embedded engineering company specializing in designing and manufacturing embedded computing platforms, announces it has joined the ST Partner Program to make its System on Module based on STM32MP13x available to STMicroelectronics customers. The System on Module forms the building block of products and solutions that require rich performance, power efficiency, a range of interfaces, a secure environment, and an open-source operating system to meet versatile embedded application needs.

iWave and ST are collaborating to leverage the expertise of both organizations to deliver best-in-class products and solutions, enabling product development and reduced time to market for customers.

iWave, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of System on Module and Single Board computers, joins the ST Partner Program initiative by launching its new STM32MP13x OSM with product family name iW-G54S. The OSM Standard for system on module exploits energy-efficient application processors to meet the low-power, diverse embedded-applications needs of ST customers requiring rich performance.

The iW-RainboW-G54S Series satisfies diverse memory requirements for embedded applications with on-chip embedded memory, up to 1GB DDR3L, and enhanced external memory access. The compact SOM in a size of 30mm x 15mm provides access to a variety of interfaces and security.

The OSM standard for System on Module defines the SOM in a solderable LGA package. The OSM standard provides compactness and ruggedness and is a right fit for products prone to vibration or requiring a compact form factor. The OSM Standard also assures technology scalability based on the MPU and application requirements.
