iWave Joins BlackBerry QNX Partner Program to Deliver Safety & Secure Solutions

iWave Systems provides design, development and customization of secure, mission-critical embedded solutions using BlackBerry QNX technologies

Bangalore,  India — Month, Day, 2020 — iWave Systems, a global leader in the design and manufacture of cutting edge embedded solutions including System on Modules, Single Board Computers and ODM solutions, today announced it will  offer engineering services around BlackBerry® QNX® technology to its broad embedded customer base in the general embedded market. iWave joins the BlackBerry QNX Channel Partner Program, a worldwide network of value-added integrators and distributors, trained on QNX technologies.

Under the agreement, iWave will offer software integration services to customers that are building products that use BlackBerry QNX technology. These services, combined with its embedded hardware design expertise, will enable iWave to develop safety critical solutions for its customers in the medical, industrial and transportation industries.

iWave has successfully ported the QNX RTOS to NXP i.MX 8QuadMax and QuadPlus SMARC Platforms, Renesas RZ/G based platforms and QNX6 on NXP i.MX 6 Platforms. With multiple driver support for MCU and CPU cores, networking interfaces and multimedia support included in the QNX board support package (BSP), iWave aims to empower customers with complete feature support on their portfolio of embedded solutions.

The QNX® Neutrino® RTOS complements iWave’s embedded platforms with a robust ecosystem of resources for real-time executions, while ensuring adaptability and efficient system control. The integration of the QNX RTOS on the iWave platform provides flexible design solutions that combine a reliable operating system with a high-end processor up to ARM Quad core at 1GHz, with quick turnaround time. The QNX RTOS on iWave platforms can also provide high-end graphics support, including dedicated 2D/3D with OpenGL support helping customers in enabling safety critical real time applications with ease and quick time-to-market.
