Designing Mobile Security Engine using SD Memory Slave Controller IP Core

iWave systems helped CUPP Computing to develop a dedicated hardware solution called CUPP Mobile Security Engine (MSE) using iW SD memory slave controller IP.

CUPP Computing developed a microSD-based module which is primarily designed for the mobile security application, which enhances the usage of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) in the workplace by protecting the device against malware and corporate data against targeted attack.

The MSE is a self-contained dedicated security platform in a microSD card. This chip is developed using SiP technology, which integrates the Microprocessor, Flash and iWave SD memory slave IP. The solution has gone through extensive tests with multiple Linux and Android hosts for functionality as well as performance.

“One of the main components of CUPP’s Mobile Security Engine is based on iWave Systems FPGA IP Core SD Memory Slave Controller. We really enjoyed working with iWave Systems team on integration and customization of IP Core with our hardware and software platform, on tuning its performance and achieving excellent results. All that within limits of very tight scheduling! iWave Systems has a team of real professionals and we will continue to cooperate in the future and I believe that this project is not our last one”. Says Mr. Mark Kaplan VP R&D, CUPP Computing

More Details on the above chip is available at Mobile Security Engine and CUPP Micro SD
